Season Three

So forward wind it's six months later in TLW land.
Hooray, Bette and Tina are back together trying to be good parents! Alice and Dana have split up; Alice is having a tough time with this and turns into stalker dyke. I love the fact that anything can and does happen in this series they must sit in the script meetings and think, ok how far can we go with this.
Helena buys a film studio, Shane goes steady for a change - great acting by Kate Moening - really trying her best to be a good girl. Jenny who was left languishing in the mid-west but can no longer cope with her parents so is heading back to cause more chaos. She arrives back in town with a transgender called Moira. Helena is trying to help Alice get over Dana but just making matters worse, whilst Dana is struggling with health issues of her own. Carmen has tough decisions to make regarding her work and life balance. Things get all the more confusing as Tina decides to go on straight sex websites. Moira becomes Max and Dana discovers she has cancer, which for such an important character was a great shock. Tina has to get a job so goes and works for Helena at her studio, which doesn't please Bette. Dana and Lara plan a trip to France, Moira receives a luke warm reception from Jenny’s friends. It's all happening in season 3!
Dana and Alice rebuild their friendship, though Alice is still secretly in love with Dana and searching for a life size cardboard cut-out of her that she threw out, Shane gets a shop called Wax - she and Carmen get tattoos to display their love for each other. Tina gets off with a chap called Josh on a film set in Canada (just can't believe it, what a waste)! Jenny helps Moira to become Max.
The 10th episode in season three is a tad unusual as all the events happen in ‘real’ time… a la 24 hours. Dana’s condition worsens, Peggy Peabody appears to save her daughter from Dylan who has set her up with her partner Danny. Bette makes a bid for freedom from the Buddhist camp and learns all she needs to at a bus stop - don’t we all?
Max gets a job, Alice comforts Lara and Tina tries to get custody of Angelina by hiring the services of the very sexy lawyer Joyce.
Dana dies!
The closing episode of season three has Jenny distancing herself from Max. Shane and Carmen inviting their respective parents to their wedding and Alice drowning her sorrows with the help of lots of sleeping pills…
