Season Six Original air date 18 January 2009
The final series of TLW kicks off where we left it in season five at the wrap party. Jenny and Shane try and figure out what they mean to each other, Kit and Helena celebrate taking over the ‘Shebar’ and rename it ‘Hit’. Angelica causes major anxiety when she comes down with a very high fever, just as we thought everything was back on terra firma for Tina and Bette, Bette’s first love appears on the scene to screw everything up.
Alice walks in on Jenny and Shane and needless to say can’t help but tell everyone, Joyce asks Phyllis to marry her, Max is…. Wait for it… pregnant, Tasha and Alice see a relationships counsellor and Helena bumps into Dylan, who is now out. Dylan turns up at the Hit club and all this in just episode one!
The negative of the movie Lez Girls is stoken, Alice gets fired from the 'Look' and decides to become a screenwriter and is upset when Jenny offers support with her writing but in fact steals the idea, rewrites it and passes it off as her own work (oh Jenny, you just can't help yourself). Bette and Tina try and adopt a child from Nevada, Alice and Tasha end up both fancying their new friend Jamie, they organise Max a baby shower much to his horror, Jenny buys Shane a photography studio but Shane is feeling suffocated so tries to get it on with Nikki.
The penultimate episode takes place mainly at a 24 hour dance marathon, Jenny is blackmailing Bette with her misguided film of her with her old flame, Dylan and Helena get back together, Jenny dies YIIPPEEYYYEEAAYYYY
Most of this last episode was about the individual characters being interviewed by the police who are trying to figure out who did it.
Finally the credits roll with all the ladies looking lovely and smiling at the camera, including Jenny,,, Thought that was a really nice touch!
The last episode is let’s face it a huge disappointment. We were told all loose ends would be tied up?!? Frankly I feel we were left with even more unsaid. Whether that is a clever ploy to at some stage pull the girls back together and give us, the audience what we all want either another series or a film, maybe? Let's hope so as I miss it!
Come on Ilene give us girls what we want, please?
